Ji-Yun is a South Korean artist who has been based in Paris for around twenty years. She graduated from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and Hong-Ik University in Seoul. She has developed a powerful body of work, rooted in a childhood spent in her father’s clinic, focused on the body and living organisms, combining painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, and monumental installations. Although firmly contemporary, her work draws on the heritage of traditional Korean aesthetics as well as its techniques. Represented by Magna Gallery in Paris, she exhibits in Korea, France, and internationally, and has received numerous awards and distinctions.J.
